Are you ready for summer? I know I am!! And so are my kids! They can hardly wait for our trips to the “beach” (aka lake with a nice sandy beach) to resume. In fact, my girls wore their new swimsuits around the house with their water shoes the other day. I couldn’t convince them to take them off.

Whether you’re a homeschool mom or not, the kids will eventually say that dreaded 5 letter word – BORED. No matter how much time they spend outside with friends or games they play, they always end up saying they’re bored.

Well this year…I have a solution!!

Summer is just around the corner and you're sure to hear the word BORED at least a time or two. So why not mix it up this summer with fun Letter a Day activities! :: www.inallyoudo.net

A while back a friend of mine was stressing over Spring Break with her little ones, as she had been very ill and it was taking its toll on her both physically and emotionally. She was exhausted before Spring Break even started. So, she came up with a wonderful suggestion that I am totally stealing!! Thanks Holly! 😉

Letter Days

What are letter days? They are days dedicated to one particular letter of the alphabet. The point is to do activities that day, eat foods, read books and more beginning with that letter! Now, doesn’t that sound like fun?

Of course, it may take some planning, but I think it will be a BIG hit in our house – and the perfect way to reinforce those letters and sounds we’ve been working on this year!!

It’s a win-win!

Now, this isn’t something you have to do each day. You could just pick and choose what letters you want to do or have the kids pick the letter out of a hat and make it up as you go.
